Federer battled Stan Wawrinka to a four-set victory on Tuesday, seizing the first two sets. Rafael Nadal sprinted past Kei Nishikori in a straight-set win.

The two tennis legends are far from strangers in Grand Slam competition. Nadal holds a 9–3 edge in Grand Slams, including a 5–0 mark at the French Open.

Gobierno Municipal pide evitar disparos al aire durante Año Nuevo

El Gobierno Municipal de Chihuahua, a través de la Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal, hizo un llamado a la ciudadanía para abstenerse de realizar disparos o detonaciones de arma de fuego al aire durante las celebraciones por Año Nuevo, con el objetivo de salvaguardar la integridad de las familias chihuahuenses.
La autoridad municipal advirtió que esta práctica representa un alto riesgo, ya que las balas disparadas al aire regresan al suelo con la misma fuerza, lo que puede provocar lesiones graves o incluso la pérdida de vidas humanas, tanto de quien realiza la acción como de personas ajenas, incluyendo vecinos, peatones y la ciudadanía en general.
La Dirección de Seguridad Pública Municipal recordó que realizar disparos al aire es una conducta ilegal, por lo que toda persona que sea sorprendida efectuando este tipo de actos será detenida y puesta a disposición de la autoridad correspondiente, conforme a lo que marca la ley.
La corporación reiteró la importancia de celebrar estas fechas con respeto y seguridad, e invitó a la población a reportar de manera inmediata cualquier detonación de arma de fuego al número de emergencias 911.
